Creekside Land & Cattle

Our Mission

At Creekside, farming and ranching isn’t just what we do—it’s who we are. The vision of our farm operation is to progress, flex, and always evolve to the changing needs of agriculture, blending tradition with innovation. From calving to weaning, planting to harvest, we focus on providing healthy, home-raised beef and other products at an affordable price for our rural community and region. Our family, faith and community are the foundation of everything we accomplish; we’re proud to offer a welcoming storefront where neighbors and families can find wholesome, quality meals straight from our ranch to their table.

Who We Are

Creekside Land and Cattle, LLC. is a multi-generational, family-owned and operated business led by Mark and Saundra Reed, alongside their family—Roger, Neely, Reed, and Ansley Kohmetscher, and Bret, Katie, Brandt, Blakely, and Bristol Carlgren.

Our family is deeply rooted in North Central Kansas, where agriculture is not just our livelihood, but our way of life. We are fortunate to work across many areas of agriculture and take pride in continuing a tradition built on hard work, stewardship, and a strong commitment to our land, livestock, and community.

What We Do

At Creekside, our operation includes a commercial cow-calf herd and a background feeding lot, along with finishing select cattle for our beef shop. We raise grain, hay, and feed—producing over 90% of what our cattle consume to maintain full quality control from start to finish.

The Creekside Beef Shop is a natural diversification of our farm, giving our community and region access to locally raised, retail-ready beef. We also offer beef shares for customers interested in purchasing quarter, half, or whole beef directly from the farm.

On the land side, we practice rotational grazing, use cover crops, and rely on long-standing no-till farming practices to care for our soil and livestock for the future.

Rooted in tradition and legacy. Driven by innovation. Built on trust.
